Waffles are a quick, simple snack or meal that anyone with or without experience can make and enjoy. As much as we love waffles with an added syrup or honey or ice cream, this time around we opted for a healthier option with less sugar - Sweetcorn waffles. Below is a simple recipe for the sweetcorn waffles - do try it and let us know how it went.
INGREDIENTS:
1 3/4 Cup flour
3 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1 3/4 cup milk of your choice
1/2 cup canola / vegetable oil
1 can sweetcorn cream style
Cooking spray
DIRECTIONS / METHOD
Preheat the waffle maker
In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder. Slowly pour the milk (while whisking), add eggs, oil and sweetcorn. Whisk until all the ingredients are combined. Set aside
Spray the waffle maker with cooking spray
Spoon the batter onto the waffle maker, wait 20 seconds before closing the lid
Close the lid and cook for +- 3 min
Remove from the waffle maker and repeat the process
